What is i-Lipo Laser Cavitation?

i-Lipo Laser cavitation is a virtually painless, non-surgical body contouring technique that’s performed as an alternative to liposuction. The procedure achieves fat melting through low-frequency ultrasound waves. The ultrasonic waves penetrate the skin and create bubbles around the fat deposit, which then burst, causing the body to get rid of them naturally through urine and the lymphatic system. During a series of ultrasound cavitation treatments, fat is turned into free fatty acids, which are easier for the body to get rid of.

Ultrasonic cavitation leaves behind toned, tightened skin. Like most forms of body contouring, ultrasonic cavitation treatment is not for extreme weight loss.

How does i-Lipo Work?

The i-Lipo emits low levels of laser energy, which creates a chemical signal in the fat cells, breaking down the stored triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol and releasing them though channels in the cell membranes. The fatty acids and glycerol are then transported around the body to the tissues that will use them during metabolism to create energy.

This process of fatty acid release is a natural response of the body when the body needs to used stored energy reserves, thus i-Lipo is not creating any unnatural reaction in the body nor does it affect or damage any surrounding structures such as skin, blood vessels and peripheral nerves. A period of exercise post treatment will ensure the complete metabolism and thus elimination from the body of the freed fatty acids.

How Do I Do It?

For the best results, most patients require between 10 and 12 treatments, but you’ll see up to one to five centimeters of circumference reduction within five treatments. Each treatment session lasts for around 30 to 50 minutes. To get the most out of your treatments, it is recommended to drink water, maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly in-between sessions.

In fact, it’s important that patients drink at least 1.5 liters of water before and after ultrasonic cavitation treatments in order to help the body expel the fatty acids. Additionally, it is important to follow a low-calorie, low-carb diet for at least a day before the procedure, which will help you better burn fatty acid during the treatment and just after.

Clinically Proven

Clinical studies show that i-lipo has comparable results that are achieved through liposuction surgery. There is a 30% reduction in the fat layer depth just after one treatment, and more can be achieved through more sessions. As the fat cell contents are released and excreted through the lymphatic system, immediate results can be seen after the treatment. It is recommended to do light exercise post treatment to accelerate the removal process of the released fat.
